On August 19, the IDF sealed off two Hamas tunnels with a combined length of two kilometers, the military said at the time.
The IDF destroyed a terror tunnel in the Gaza Strip, the military said on Wednesday, noting that Israeli soldiers have demolished 26 kilometers of such tunnels east of the Yellow Line since the ceasefire with Hamas began.
According to the IDF, one of the tunnels destroyed over the past few weeks was about one kilometer in length.
The announcement came following a visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to an IDF outpost near the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip earlier on Wednesday.
“We control 60% of the Strip, and there is more to come because we are eliminating the terrorists who threaten us,” he said, stressing that efforts to disarm Hamas will continue until completed.
