Arsenal have been handed a potential injury concern involving Bukayo Saka during their UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, October 21.

The England international started the high-profile encounter for Mikel Arteta’s side, having remained an important part of Arsenal’s attacking plans this season. His involvement was particularly significant ahead of a demanding run of fixtures across domestic and European competitions.

What happened to Bukayo Saka?

Saka seemed to hold his right thigh after kicking the ball away. The England player’s knee also twisted, while his left ankle also seemed to take a twist. The Arsenal star seemed to have an issue with his left leg, but further updates are likely to arrive after the match.

The precise nature of Saka’s reported injury and its severity could not be confirmed at the time of writing. Arsenal have not provided a verified medical diagnosis or an official recovery timeline in the available reports.

Will Bukayo Saka Miss Arsenal’s Upcoming Matches?

Saka’s availability will be an important consideration for Arteta, given his influence on Arsenal’s right flank and his ability to create chances, carry the ball into dangerous areas and contribute goals. Eberechi Eze came on to replace Saka and went to the left-hand side, as Noni Madueke took over the duties on the right.

Arsenal are scheduled to face Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, October 24. Whether Saka will be available for that fixture depends on the nature of the problem and how he responds during the recovery and assessment process.

The club’s medical staff are expected to assess the winger before a clearer picture emerges. Arteta’s next update should provide the most reliable indication of whether Saka faces a spell on the sidelines or whether the issue is minor.
