President Donald Trump has taken to Truth Social to rebuke Fox News for giving airtime to “sleazebag” Democrats, accusing the network of failing to fact-check them and complaining: “Hard to win Elections like this!”
The president had a busy Sunday on his social media platform, sharing memes from other users, calling Iran’s stance on peace talks “totally unacceptable,” gloating over the primary defeats suffered by Republicans who opposed GOP-led redistricting efforts in Indiana, and attacking conservative Supreme Court justices for being insufficiently loyal.
Pivotting to attacking Fox, Trump seemed particularly incensed by an interview with California Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna on the network’s weekend show The Sunday Briefing conducted by its senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, in which the pair discussed gerrymandering and U.S.-China trade.

“You could listen to FoxNews all day long, absolutely devour it, but then, when you hear SLEAZEBAGS, like Congressman Ro Khanna, ‘a wolf in sheep’s clothing,’ LIE, LIE, LIE, AND LIE AGAIN, without any pushback, or competent rebuttal from an anchor, in this case, Jacqui Heinrich, the entire Common Sense dialogue that has been going on all day at Fox is completely obliterated!” the president raged.
He did not address what Khanna had said that he took specific issue with and instead continued: “Why would Fox put SCUM like this on, or others, such as Low Rated Bill Maher, who gains ‘credibility’ by constant referral to him as though he were a Liberal source of ‘Wisdom,’ or very Low IQ Hakeem Jeffries, who considers the Supreme Court ‘illegitimate,’ and probably hates our Country.
“No matter how ‘Fair and Balanced’ the day’s News at Fox may be, the end result is destroyed by professional Liars, Conmen, and Liberal, Crooked Politicians.
“This is why MAGA Republicans, who are actually close to 100% of the Party, hate Fox, despite the wonderful contributions made by so many of their great anchors and commentators. Hard to win Elections like this!”
Khanna used his appearance on Fox to complain about the U.S. buying in cheaper steel from China, rather than supporting domestic manufacturing, which he suggested was at odds with the president’s much-heralded “America First” economic priorities and said was an issue Trump should address with Xi Jinping when he visits Beijing Wednesday.

The representative has spent much of the last year campaigning for justice for the victims of the pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, keeping the pressure on Trump’s administration to release all of the government’s files on the predator.
The president’s passing attack on comedian Bill Maher, a centrist with a contrarian streak, is interesting as the pair had dinner at the White House last year, arranged by intermediary Kid Rock, only for Trump to subsequently resume deriding the HBO host.
In a savage attack on Truth Social last weekend, Trump claimed Maher had arrived at the Oval Office “nervous, scared” and had immediately asked for a drink, a request he said he considered “very endearing but, at the same time, absolutely pathetic.”
The president is known to be a keen viewer of Fox, regularly calling into shows like Fox and Friends, The Five, and Hannity, and granting sit-down interviews to its star anchors like Maria Bartiromo, Laura Ingraham, and Bret Baier.
However, he also criticises the network with semi-regularity and his latest broadside could be interpreted, along with his attacks on Supreme Court justices Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett, as an attempt to keep his big tent conservative coalition in line with one eye on November’s midterm elections.
