Brentford confirm the arrival of forward Jaidon Anthony from Burnley for a reported 17m including add-ons. The 26-year-old signs an initial four-year contract, which features an option for an extra 12 months. Anthony could make a first competitive appearance when Brentford host Tottenham on August 22.
Anthony first joined Burnley on loan in August 2024 and then moved permanently the following summer after promotion to the Premier League. Across all competitions, Anthony played 81 games for the Clarets. During the 2025-26 campaign, Anthony finished as second-highest scorer, registering nine goals, with eight coming in the top-flight.
The transfer was confirmed on July 7 2026 through Brentford’s official channels, with the club outlining the length of the initial deal. The announcement emphasised Anthony’s role as a forward option for Brentford, adding further competition in attacking areas ahead of the new Premier League season.

Head coach Keith Andrews explained why Brentford chose to invest in Anthony at this stage of the forward’s career. Andrews highlighted both recent form and longer-term development as key reasons behind the move from Burnley, stressing how Anthony’s personality and style appeared suitable for the squad.
"We're delighted to be able to sign Jaidon, Brentford boss Keith Andrews told the club's media channels. We've been aware of Jaidon's journey for a long, long time and have always admired him from afar. He did really well last season, which is difficult in a team that got relegated. After meeting him, it became very evident that he'd fit into the culture of the club and add to the squad. He still has so much more room for growth and improvement, and we're really looking forward to working with him."
Anthony now links up with Brentford after two seasons at Burnley that included promotion, relegation and a strong scoring return. With a four-year agreement plus a possible extra 12 months in place, Brentford gain a forward entering peak years, while Anthony receives a stable platform in the Premier League.
