A man who claims YouTuber Jack Doherty ordered his bodyguard to attack him during a livestreamed Halloween party is seeking a default judgment against the security guard.
Chase Cameron Gardella alleges that Doherty, 23, encouraged bodyguard Justin “Kane Kongg” Goslee to assault him at an October 2023 party to generate content for his viewers.
According to court filings, Doherty and Goslee watched footage of the bodyguard knocking a woman unconscious while working for a previous employer before attending the party.

Gardella’s attorneys allege the video inspired Doherty to encourage Goslee to behave violently, leading him to instruct the bodyguard to fight Gardella. Doherty then allegedly celebrated the confrontation because it produced entertaining content.
Gardella, who has since become a practicing lawyer, is suing Doherty, his companies Jack Doherty LLC and Banger Official LLC, Goslee and his company Kongg Inc.
The lawsuit includes allegations of assault, battery, negligence, negligent hiring and supervision, aiding and abetting, unjust enrichment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In court papers filed Wednesday, Gardella’s attorneys said they were pursuing a default judgment against Goslee and his company and seeking punitive damages from both.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael R. Amerian postponed a hearing on the matter from Friday to March 19, 2027, after Gardella’s lawyers requested additional time to serve legal documents on Kongg Inc.
The case is scheduled to go to trial on March 29, 2027.
Meanwhile, Doherty’s own attorneys are seeking permission to withdraw from the case.
“Professional consideration requires termination of the representation,” attorneys Courtney M. Serrato and Olivia Zorayan wrote in court filings, without elaborating.
A hearing on their request is scheduled for November 23.
