East Bengal will look to extend their impressive run when they face Inter Kashi FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 season on Friday, October 23. The match will take place at Pune’s Balewadi Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 PM IST.

The Red & Gold Brigade made a strong statement in their opening fixture, defeating Churchill Brothers 4-0 away from home. They will now aim to secure another victory and strengthen their position in the early stages of their title defence.

Inter Kashi, meanwhile, will be eager to bounce back after a challenging start to their league campaign. Following a 0-2 defeat to Kerala Blasters FC, Carlos Vaz Pinto’s side earned a 1-1 draw against Odisha FC and will be looking to build on that result against the defending champions.

East Bengal Aim to Extend Unbeaten Run

East Bengal arrive in Pune full of confidence after their comprehensive victory over Churchill Brothers. Dani Ramirez opened the scoring with a free-kick before Edmund Lalrindika doubled the advantage shortly before half-time. Substitute Bipin Singh then struck twice in the second half to complete the 4-0 win.

The Kolkata-based side have also demonstrated impressive consistency in recent league fixtures. Across their last 14 ISL matches, East Bengal have scored 34 goals and conceded just 11. Their victory over Churchill Brothers extended their unbeaten league run to 11 matches.

Inter Kashi Look for a Response

Inter Kashi have had a mixed beginning to their ISL campaign. After losing 0-2 to Kerala Blasters FC in their opening match, they responded with a 1-1 draw against Odisha FC.

Vaz Pinto’s team will now face a significant test against an East Bengal side that has shown considerable attacking efficiency. Inter Kashi will need to remain organised defensively, manage possession effectively and make the most of their scoring opportunities to secure a positive result.

The hosts will also be looking to improve their performance in both boxes after conceding twice against Kerala Blasters. A disciplined display in midfield could be crucial in limiting East Bengal’s attacking threat.

The fixture carries added significance because East Bengal defeated Inter Kashi 2-1 earlier this year, a victory that secured the Kolkata club their maiden ISL title and fourth top-flight national league championship.
