Bhubaneswar, September 11, 2026: Odisha FC have announced the return of winger Nandhakumar Sekar, with the Indian attacker signing a contract that will keep him with the Kalinga Warriors until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Nandhakumar, popularly known as Nandha, returns to Odisha FC after previously spending four seasons with the club. During his earlier stint, the winger established himself as one of the team’s key attacking players, making 59 Indian Super League appearances, while scoring seven goals and providing five assists.
His most productive campaign for the club came in the 2022-23 season, when he played an important role in Odisha FC’s first-ever qualification for the ISL playoffs. He also helped the club secure its maiden Super Cup title that season.
Nandha scored six goals and registered one assist in the ISL during the 2022-23 campaign before adding four more goals during Odisha FC’s Super Cup-winning run.
His performances also earned him his first senior India call-up. The winger subsequently made his international debut against Vanuatu during the 2023 Intercontinental Cup. The 30-year-old has made 6 apperances for the Blue Tigers.
Speaking about his return to Odisha FC, Nandha said: “I’m very happy to be back with Odisha FC. This club has given me some very special memories, and I’m looking forward to being back with the team and the fans. I’m ready to work hard and contribute to the team for the rest of the season.”
Nandhakumar’s return gives Odisha FC a familiar attacking option with previous experience of playing for the club and its supporters. The Kalinga Warriors will now look to the winger to make an impact as the ISL 2026-27 season starts next month.
