Fox News host Jesse Watters brushed off Senator Jon Ossoff’s jibe about President Donald Trump’s aide Natalie Harp, arguing that Trump himself has said “much more sleazy things.”

On Tuesday night’s The Five, Watters responded to remarks Ossoff, a Georgia Democrat, made at a weekend rally about Harp. Ossoff said Trump would rather “travel with Natalie” than perform the duties of the presidency.

“To suggest that Trump surrounds himself with attractive women, yeah, I think he’s done that his whole life,” Watters said. “I don’t think he’s very upset about the comment.

“Am I fazed by this comment? No,” he continued. “Has Trump said so much worse? So much more sleazy things against other people? Yes. Have I defended those things? Absolutely. So I’m not going to pretend I’m all hot and bothered about it, and the president doesn’t care.”

At a Georgia rally on Sunday, Ossoff accused Trump of preferring travel with Harp than to “do the job” of president.

“He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar,” the senator said.

Ossoff appeared to be referring to Trump having to ditch Air Force One and use a military plane to depart Turkey last month, amid concerns of a possible Iranian attack. Harp, Trump’s 35-year-old executive assistant, was reportedly among the small group of aides who accompanied him on the alternate aircraft.

Asked about the comment in an interview with MS NOW, Ossoff said he had “heard this particular aide referred to as his security blanket.”

While Watters dismissed the remark, other conservatives reacted angrily.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung wrote on X: “Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics. Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he’s a miserable person who hates this country.”

CNN conservative political commentator Scott Jennings wrote: “Donald Trump has done more to elevate women in politics than any other President. Jon Ossoff is a despicable coward who thinks he can get ahead by smearing a cancer survivor and loyal public servant, Natalie Harp.”

Harp is reportedly a near-constant presence at Trump’s side and is viewed as one of his most loyal aides.

She has reportedly left him adoring notes, including one that read: “You are all that matters to me.” Her estranged brother has characterized her relationship with Trump as “very unhealthy.” On Sunday, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman described Harp as Trump’s “Binkie” and “his comfort blanket.”

A White House spokesperson previously told The Independent: “Natalie Harp is a beloved White House Official, and the Fake News Media will never understand what it’s like to be as trusted and admired as her.”
