Turkish giants Fenerbahce have emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, with reports suggesting the club has already tabled a lucrative three-year proposal worth around £17.3 million per season.
The 33-year-old is widely expected to leave Liverpool F.C. after nearly a decade at Anfield, a spell decorated with Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup triumphs that cemented his legacy as one of the club’s modern greats. However, his role has reportedly diminished this season under manager Arne Slot, with inconsistent form and occasional benching fueling expectations of an imminent departure.
What Is The Deal Given By Mohammad Salah?
According to reports cited by Goal.com and Egyptian media, Fenerbahce officials have already held multiple meetings with Salah’s representatives and outlined a long-term project aimed at building a title-contending squad around him. The proposed deal is believed to be worth close to £52 million in total, positioning him as the centerpiece of their ambitions to end a league title drought dating back to 2014.
An Egyptian football source told local media, “Fenerbahce are very serious about this deal. They want Salah to be the face of their new project and believe he can elevate the entire league.”
The proposed contract is believed to be worth nearly £52 million over three years, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Turkish Super Lig if the move materialises. The club’s ambition reportedly includes assembling a competitive squad capable of challenging domestically and in Europe.
However, Fenerbahce is not alone in the race. Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are monitoring developments closely, while top Italian clubs such as Juventus, Inter Milan, and Roma have also been linked. Interest from Saudi Arabia remains strong, alongside MLS discussions involving Inter Miami.
An agent close to the situation of Salah added, “Salah’s priority is still competitive European football. Money matters, but legacy and level of competition are equally important at this stage.”
Despite widespread speculation, Salah’s camp has not made any official announcement, leaving his future one of the most closely watched storylines ahead of the summer transfer window.
