The Durand Cup returns in 2026 with a 24-team field representing the Indian Super League, I-League, I-League 2, the Armed Forces, and Sri Lanka’s Defenders FC. The participating sides have been drawn into six groups of four, with only the six group winners and the two highest-ranked runners-up advancing to the quarterfinal stage.
