Biohacker Bryan Johnson’s girlfriend Kate Tolo is undertaking a major effort to collect 14 million data points related to her menstrual cycle — in what Johnson says marks a “world first” for women’s health.
“Women are not well understood medically,” Johnson – whose $2 million-a-year anti-aging program was detailed in last year’s Netflix documentary Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever – told The Independent via email earlier Thursday. “Kate will provide the most comprehensive data set on a female menstrual cycle in history.”
It remains unclear how long this $2.6 million initiative will take, funded by the couple’s company Immortals, but a daily schedule released by Johnson shows that nearly every minute of the 30-year-old’s day is accounted for by blood tests, exercise and digital tracking among other steps.
From 6 a.m. through 10 p.m., she and a 12-person medical team will work to collect data on nearly every facet of her health using 50 devices, including a so-called “techno tampon” designed to track blood flow.
Here’s what Tolo’s day looks like, according to Johnson’s social media posts.
