Kolkata is set to welcome another major football spectacle, with Barcelona Legends scheduled to face Real Madrid Legends at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan on November 25, 2026. The proposed exhibition match will bring former stars of two of world football’s most celebrated clubs to a city renowned for its passionate football following.

West Bengal Sports Minister Indranil Khan shared the announcement on his verified Facebook account, teasing the contest with the message, “El Clásico Loading..”

The announcement has raised expectations of a nostalgic football evening in the City of Joy, where supporters could get an opportunity to see some familiar names from the historic Barcelona-Real Madrid rivalry.
