Sept. 9 (UPI) — Sheriff’s deputies in Washington responded to a neighborhood to wrangle a “really strong” escaped goat reported to be attempting to ram local residents.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said on social media Tuesday that deputies responded Aug. 28 to a neighborhood where a goat “escaped and was apparently taking its job as the neighborhood menace very seriously.”

“With approximately 1-foot-long horns, the goat was attempting to ram nearby residents, who stayed safely inside until deputies could secure the goat back in its pen so they could leave their homes,” the post said.

Body camera footage shows two deputies taking the goat by the horns and leading it back to its pen.

“This thing is really strong, dude,” one of the deputies says in the footage.

The post said the deputies were able to guide “the big, strong guy back into his pen, ensuring both the goat and everyone nearby remained safe!”
