Aug. 27 (UPI) — Netflix is teasing the new film Unabomber.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the movie Thursday featuring Jacob Tremblay (Room) as a young Ted Kaczynski.
Unabomber explores how the real-life Kaczynski went from Harvard prodigy to a domestic terrorist who killed three people and injured 23 others in mail bombing attacks between 1978 and 1995.
“Subjected to controversial psychological experiments by Professor Henry Murray (Russell Crowe), Kaczynski’s troubled past resurfaces decades later when his manhunt, led by FBI agent Joanne Miller (Shailene Woodley), brings to light the chilling consequences of ambition and isolation,” an official synopsis reads.
Other cast members include Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg and Marc Menchaca.
Unabomber premieres Oct. 25 on Netflix.
The real-life Kaczynski was sentenced to life in prison for his crimes and died by suicide at age 81 in 2023.
