Aug. 19 (UPI) — FX announced the limited series Legends on Wednesday. Charlie Hunnam co-created the series and stars with Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal.
The trio also starred in the FX drama Sons of Anarchy. Hunnam and Jonathan Groff created the “meta-thriller.”
Sons stars Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi also return. The actors play themselves attending a fan convention when they face “a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show.”
They played a biker gang on Sons of Anarchy who faced the dangers of rival gangs, law enforcement, rapists and even a school shooting.
The 90210 reboot also featured the cast playing fictional versions of themselves reuniting in a meta revival.
Hunnam and Groff executive produce with Rob Mac, Nicholas Frenklel and Jackie Cohn. The show will air on FX and Hulu.
Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter is not listed in the announcement. Sons had a spinoff Mayans, M.C.
