Aug. 24 (UPI) — Oscar-nominated actor Antonio Banderas will be honored at the 2026 Premios Juventud.
Banderas, 66, known for Desperado, The Mask of Zorro, Pain and Glory and other films, will receive the Agent of Change award for his “impact on education, social action, and community development,” according to a press release.
The actor’s charity work includes establishing the Lagrimas y Favores Foundation in Malaga, Spain, which benefits the University of Malaga, CUDECA, AECC, Caritas, Fundacion El Pimpi, Economato Social Corinto and other organizations.
In addition, Banderas co-hosts the annual Starlite Gala fundraiser for the Starlite Foundation in Marbella, Spain, alongside Sandra Garcia-Sanjuan.
The 32nd annual Premios Juventud ceremony will take place Sept. 3 at the Starlite Marbella in Spain, marking the first time the country has hosted the awards show.
Spanish television personality Jesus Vazquez will host the event with actress Alejandra Espinoza and model Clarissa Molina.
Premios Juventud will air at 7 p.m. ET on Univision, Unimas, Galavision, ViX and YouTube in the United States and at 5 p.m. on Canal 5 in Mexico.
