Sept. 9 (UPI) — Apple has delivered its highly-anticipated fall event.

The company announced the iPhone Duo — its first foldable iPhone — the iPhone Pro 18 and Pro 18 Max, Apple AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and more during its “Surprise and Shine” September event, which streamed live Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube.

John Ternus, who succeeded Tim Cook as Apple CEO last week, hosted the keynote presentation for the first time.

Here’s a rundown of the biggest announcements:

iPhone Duo

The first foldable iPhone features a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display while opened and a 5.4-inch outer display while closed, which maintain the same aspect ratio to ensure visual continuity. While open, the iPhone Duo’s screen area is 50% larger than that of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and 90% of the iPhone 18 Pro while closed.

The iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip and also includes a custom-designed vapor chamber and dual-battery architecture to deliver high performance and battery life.

Available in star white and night sky titanium, the iPhone Duo begins preorders Oct. 16 and officially releases Oct. 23. The phone starts at $1,999 for 256GB storage.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

The Apple iPhone Pro 18 and iPhone 18 Pro Max feature the line’s most advanced camera system yet, along with improvements in battery life and performance.

Both models include the A20 Pro chip, a new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, a smaller Dynamic Island, and a next-generation vapor chamber to deliver greater performance.

Available in black, silver, glacier and burgundy, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Pro Max both begin with 256GB storage, with the 18 Pro retailing at $1,199 and the 18 Pro Max at $1,299. Preorders begin Saturday, with the phones to officially release Sept. 18.

Apple AirPods 5

Apple AirPods 5 feature an open-ear design with improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a more natural Transparency mode, hands-free Siri AI, and access to Apple’s Live Translation technology.

Retailing for $129 for AirPods 5 or $149 for AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case, the new wireless earbuds are available for preorder now and release in stores Sept. 18.

Apple Watch Series 12

Apple Watch Series 12 features a new Health Sensing System and S11 chip that deliver higher-frequency heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) measurements, along with a new readiness score.

The smartwatch will take advantage of Apple’s redesigned Health app, slated for release later this year.

Apple Watch Series 12 is available in dark bronze, black, light gold, and space gray aluminum, along with radiant gold, natural titanium, and ceramic in pearl white or night blue. The watch retails for $399 and is available for preorder now. It releases Sept. 18.

Apple also announced the Apple Watch Ultra 4.
