July 8 (UPI) — The winds are picking up once again for Avatar Aang, as the legendary airbender flies into a whirlwind new film adventure coming out later this month.
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender premieres globally on Paramount+ on July 25, and new trailer released Tuesday is giving fans a fresh gust of what’s to come.
The film follows Avatar Aang as he seeks an ancient power that could save the nearly-extinct culture of his people, the air nomads.
But he must find that power before it falls into the hands of his enemies.
The voice cast stars Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as Tagah, Jessica Matten as Katara. Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko and Dionne Quan as Toph.
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is based on the animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.
The animated film will premiere just weeks after the debut of another massive installment in the franchise.
Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the series launched Season 2 in June, and has already finished filming its third and final installment.
