May 23 (UPI) — The American Music Awards will return Monday in Las Vegas.
The 52nd annual ceremony will air on CBS and also stream on Paramount+.
Queen Latifah will host the fan-voted awards show, which celebrates influential music artists.
Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominees, with Karol G, Billy Idol and Darius Rucker to be honored with special awards.

The AMAs will take place Monday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will stream live for Paramount+ premium subscribers. It will be available to stream on-demand the next day.
Participants
Queen Latifah will host the AMAs for the first time since 1995.
Performers include Katseye, Twenty One Pilots, Teddy Swims, Hootie & the Blowfish, Keith Urban, Maluma, Riley Green, Sombr, Teyana Taylor, Karol G, Billy Idol, New Kids on the Block, and The Pussycat Dolls with Busta Rhymes.
K-pop superstars BTS will make a special appearance.
Karol G will receive the International Artist Award of Excellence, Billy Idol will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Darius Rucker will be recognized with the Veterans Voice Award.
Nominations
Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominees with eight nominations, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for The Life of a Showgirl, and Best Female Pop Artist.
Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter and Sombr follow with seven nominations each, while Alex Warren and Lady Gaga both have six.
The Artist of the Year nominees are: Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, BTS, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift.
The Album of the Year nominees are: Am I the Drama? (Cardi B), 111xpantia (Fuerza Regida), Swag (Justin Bieber), Mayhem (Lady Gaga), I’m the Problem (Morgan Wallen), The Art of Loving (Olivia Dean), Music (Playboi Carti), Man’s Best Friend (Sabrina Carpenter), So Close to What (Tate McRae) and The Life of a Showgirl (Taylor Swift).
