April 8 (UPI) — Netflix is giving a glimpse of the upcoming film Remarkably Bright Creatures.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the movie Wednesday featuring Sally Field and Lewis Pullman.
Remarkably Bright Creatures is based on the Shelby Van Pelt novel, which follows the unlikely friendship between Tova, a widow, and Cameron, a young man, who both work at the same aquarium. The book is narrated by the octopus Marcellus.
“Unbeknownst to Tova, Marcellus is on a mission to solve a mystery that will heal the widow’s heart and lead her to a life-changing discovery,” an official description reads.
The film stars Alfred Molina as the voice of Marcellus, Field as Tova and Pullman as Cameron.
Remarkably Bright Creatures is directed and co-written by Olivia Newman, who previously helmed the movie adaptation of the Delia Owens novel Where the Crawdads Sing.
Spring book releases include Hanna Johansson’s Body Double, released Monday, and Julie Schumacher’s Patient, Female, set for release May 5.
