Sept. 17 (UPI) — Bill Skarsgard has been cast in the lead role for video game Physint, the next project from famed game creator Hideo Kojima.
Kojima, an award-winning game developer best known for the Metal Gear Solid series and Death Stranding, made the announcement Thursday during Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show livestream.
Skarsgard appears in a new poster for the project alongside his co-star Charlee Fraser. Don Lee and Minami Hamabe have also been cast.
“I’m delighted to confirm the lead role for Physint will be Bill Skarsgard. We are both long-time fans of each other’s work, and we’ve decided to embark on this new adventure together,” Kojima said in a statement.
“The costume fittings, scans and camera tests we conducted will Bill and Charlee earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction of the project.”
Little is known about Physint, which has been described as an action-espionage game.
“The next cold war begins,” reads the tagline of the poster.
Xbox recently acquired the title after it was dropped by PlayStation. Kojima’s team at Kojima Productions is handling development. No release date has been set.
