Sept. 17 (UPI) — Black Bear is giving a glimpse of the new film Wife and Dog.
The studio shared a teaser trailer for the movie Thursday featuring Anthony Hopkins, Benedict Cumberbatch and Rosamund Pike.
Wife and Dog is a new thriller written and directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch, The Gentlemen).
“The relentless greed of the Fairbank family and their associates fuels betrayal and murder in the battle for succession,” an official description reads.
Hopkins narrates the preview, which shows Cumberbatch’s character appear to be left for dead and then seek violent revenge.
“One day, a long time ago, a man was cast into a deep pit. And he saw that it was impossible to climb out of that pit. And so, instead of climbing up, he dug down. He kept digging and digging. Eventually, he found himself in hell,” Hopkins says.
The scene then changes to show Hopkins is speaking to Pike’s character, his daughter, who asks, “And what did he find in hell, daddy?”
“He found me,” Hopkins answers.
Wife and Dog opens in 2027.
