In the playoffs finals, there were four pathways for the European teams. Eight teams took part in the final and four winners qualified for the World Cup.
Path A Final: Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Italy (Zenica) – Winner joins Group B (Canada, Qatar, Switzerland).
Path B Final: Sweden vs Poland (Solna) – Winner joins Group F (Netherlands, Japan, Tunisia).
Path C Final: Kosovo vs Türkiye (Pristina) – Winner joins Group D (United States, Paraguay, Australia).
Path D Final: Czechia vs Denmark (Prague) – Winner joins Group A (Mexico, South Africa, South Korea).

The Path A final between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy has gone to Extra Time after 1-1 in 90 minutes.
Turkiye won the Path C Final over Kosovo 1-0 as Kerem Akturkoglu scored the solitary goal of the match.
Sweden won the Path B final over Poland 3-2 as Viktor Gyokeres scored an 88th-minute winner in the thrilling encounter.
The Path D final betwee Czechia and Denmark has gone to Extra Time after 1-1 in the regular 90 minutes.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Intercontinental Playoffs
Six nations battled in a compact single-elimination tournament hosted entirely in Mexico for the final two spots at the 48-team World Cup. After semi-finals on March 26, Jamaica defeated New Caledonia 1-0 while Bolivia edged Suriname 2-1.
The decisive finals are to be played as DR Congo faced Jamaica at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, while Iraq took on Bolivia at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey.
The two winners earned places in the group stage – Jamaica or DR Congo joining Group K with Portugal, Uzbekistan, Colombia and the other Group I with France, Senegal, Norway.
