If your floors have been fighting a losing battle with pet hair, crumbs, and whatever gets tracked in from outside, now’s a good time to upgrade. The Shark Stratos Upright Vacuum is 50% off at Amazon right now. Deals like this tend to sell out or end without warning, so if you’ve had your eye on a new vacuum, act fast.

Deal of the day

One of the more advanced upright vacuums that Shark sells, this model is built for homes that need serious cleaning power. It has two brushrolls that pick up dirt, debris and hair on both carpet and hard floors, plus a self-cleaning brushroll that keeps hair from tangling around it. It also has a sealed HEPA filtration system that traps fine dust and allergens so they stay in the vacuum. It’s bagless, comes with a crevice tool, an upholstery tool and a pet power brush, and is backed by a 5-year warranty.

The Stratos is especially good with pet hair. One customer who has three dogs and two cats, says her “dogs alone shed enough to power an industrial pillow factory that makes pillows filled with dog hair.” This shopper found this was the first vacuum that could keep their floors clean in those conditions. Whether you have a houseful of pets or just want a vacuum that can handle everyday messes, the Stratos is worth considering, especially with it currently being half off.
