It’s marathon weekend in New York City, but even if you’re not running 26.2 miles, wearing supportive sneakers is a must. A good pair helps keep your feet comfortable, whether you’re running, walking or standing all day. Right now, the Brooks Glycerin Flex Running Sneaker is nearly $70 off at Nordstrom. Here’s what you need to know about the cushioned, flexible running shoe.

Deal of the day

The Brooks Glycerin Flex is a cushioned running shoe that bends and moves with your foot instead of feeling stiff. Its soft foam sole gives each step a plush landing while still feeling light and springy, and the flexible middle lets your foot move more naturally. The breathable mesh upper keeps air flowing on longer runs or busy days, and the removable insole adds arch support.

It’s comfortable enough for daily runs but works just as well for walks, errands or long days on your feet. The durable rubber sole is partly made from recycled materials. Most reviewers say the shoe fits true to size, though a few note it can run slightly large, so if you are in between sizes, you can likely size down.
