Real Madrid’s dramatic 2-1 El Clásico victory sparked wild celebrations, with Jose Mourinho stealing the spotlight with an iconic knee-slide. Beyond the bragging rights, the win delivered six significant milestones for Los Blancos. Here are six key stats every Madridista should know.

107th Victory For Real Madrid

The latest El Clásico has tilted the historical league head-to-head record in Real Madrid’s favour, ending the deadlock after both sides entered the contest with 106 wins apiece. Los Blancos also broke their winless run at Spotify Camp Nou, claiming their first victory there since October 2023. Having managed just one win in their previous six Clasico encounters, Madrid delivered a statement performance to reclaim the edge in one of football’s fiercest rivalries.

39 Games Without Assist: Camavinga Sets Up Clasico Winner

Eduardo Camavinga had gone 39 appearances without an assist for Real Madrid, with his last coming in a 5-2 win over Olympiacos in November 2025. He spectacularly ended that drought, beating Pau Cubarsí before cutting the ball back for Kylian Mbappé to score the winner, arguably one of his finest assists for Los Blancos. Jose Mourinho revealed that he had urged Camavinga to attack the spaces, praising the midfielder for making those runs from the second line despite the difficult circumstances.

Mourinho has now registered six Clásico victories, placing him alongside Francisco Bru, Luis Molowny and Zinedine Zidane, while only Muñoz (16) and Carlo Ancelotti (nine) have won more.

10 Years Since Madrid Beat La Liga Leaders Away

Real Madrid had not beaten the team leading La Liga away from home since April 2016, when they defeated Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou. Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo scored on that occasion, although the result ultimately had little impact on the title race. A decade later, Madrid have repeated the feat, and with the gap at the top reduced to just three points, this victory could prove far more significant in the battle for the La Liga crown.
