New Delhi, Oct 16: Mohun Bagan will look to make amends after the game against NorthEast United as they take on Sporting Club Delhi in the second game of the ISL season 2026-27 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, here in Delhi. For the hosts, Tomasz Tchórz will look to take the positives out of the spirited performance that his side put forth against Bengaluru FC in Matchday 1.

Speaking ahead of the match during the pre-match press conference, the SC Delhi head coach said, “We lost some momentum in possession, which allowed Bengaluru to control the ball, conserve energy and create opportunities. It was not our strategy to sit back, but the opposition managed that phase of the game better and pushed us deeper.”

He further said that the team’s main objective is to win the three points from the start irrespective of the outcome. “Our objective in every game, including the one against Mohun Bagan, is to win all three points,” he added.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant will be eager to bounce back after dropping points against NorthEast United FC at the Highlanders’ home ground. The Mariners now face an SC Delhi side that displayed an attacking approach in their season opener. On paper, the fixture presents Mohun Bagan with a strong opportunity to secure all three points, but they will need to be wary of Delhi’s attacking threat.
