Inter Kashi are expecting their current transfer ban to be lifted within the next 7-10 days, with the club also hopeful of finalising a deal with a new investor soon.

MyKhel understands the club is subsequently planning to begin its pre-season training in the next couple of weeks. Inter Kashi are also set to play their home matches in Ranchi during the upcoming Indian Super League season.

Transfer ban and new investment

Inter Kashi have been dealing with financial and administrative issues during the off-season, including a transfer ban linked to outstanding dues. The club had previously been reported to be looking for new investors as it worked to strengthen its financial position ahead of the new ISL campaign.

The club’s expectation is that the ban will be resolved shortly, allowing it to resume recruitment activity. Inter Kashi are also hopeful that the proposed investor deal will provide greater stability as they prepare for their second ISL season.

Inter Kashi secured their place in the 2026-27 ISL after completing the required participation process. The upcoming league season is scheduled to begin in October, with the competition set to feature 13 teams.

No foreign signings before ISL

Despite the expected lifting of the ban, Inter Kashi do not plan to sign any foreign players before the start of the ISL.

The club currently has an Indian-heavy squad and has not added a foreign player for the upcoming campaign.

Inter Kashi could, however, look at the foreign market during the January transfer window, with the possibility of bringing in a few overseas players depending on the team’s requirements.

The club finished 10th in its debut ISL campaign last season, after winning the 2024-25 I-League title and earning promotion to India’s top division.
