Sept. 17 (UPI) — Yellowstone alum Jefferson White is bringing his cowboy Jimmy Hurdstrom to Season 2 of Marshals.

“Jimmy’s back on the ranch,” CBS wrote on social media Wednesday.

Jimmy was a former rodeo competitor who worked for Kevin Costner’s John Dutton on the Yellowstone Ranch in Montana for the first four seasons of the show, before he moved to Texas to work at the 6666 or “Four Sixes” cattle operation.

White was expected to play Jimmy in a spin-off show, a reference to his new workplace, but that project was recently cancel by Yellowstone and Marshals creator Taylor Sheridan.

Marshals follows John’s son Kayce (Luke Grimes) as he starts a new career as a U.S. Marshal after John dies and most of the Yellowstone is sold back to the Broken Rock tribe to preserve the land, and avoid development schemes and tax bills.

Kayce also is still maintaining a small ranch of his own that was once a remote part of the Yellowstone.

Several Yellowstone characters — such as Mo (Mo Brings Plenty), Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Tate (Brecken Merrill) — jumped to Marshals after the main show wrapped its five-season run in 2024.

Kayce’s sister Beth (Kelly Reilly) and husband Rip (Cole Hauser) got their own show, Dutton Ranch, which is also heading into its second season.
