March 27 (UPI) — Taylor Swift was named Artist Of The Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards Thursday.
The songstress, 36, also saw her Life of a Showgirl album win the Album and Pop Album Of The Year honors at the show, which took place in Los Angeles.
Her song “The Fate of Ophelia” was given the Pop Song of the Year and Best Music Video accolades.
“I love being an artist. I love writing songs more than anything in the world and I didn’t think I was an artist when I first started doing it,” Swift said as she accepted the Artist of the Year Award. “It was a hobby. And then it was my favorite hobby and then it was like I would rush home from school to do.”
“I hope that you get to nurture your hobby and your passion just between you and that craft, and you give yourself time,” she added, noting the hours she spent with her guitar before fame. “Give yourself time to make mistakes. Give yourself time to hone your craft.”
The singer also thanked her fiancé Travis Kelce, who was her date for the awards show.
“The Fate of Ophelia” also received the award for Best Lyrics, and her Eras Tour was acknowledged for Favorite Tour Style.
The show was hosted by Ludacris, who was honored with the Landmark Award.
