Sept. 15 (UPI) — Lionsgate UK is gearing up for the release of the new film Ghosts: The Possession of Button House.
The studio shared a trailer for the movie Tuesday featuring Simon Farnaby as late fictional British parliament member Julian Fawcett.
Ghosts: The Possession of Button House is a feature film sequel to the beloved BBC series Ghosts, which had a five-season run from 2019 to 2023. The show followed Alison (Charlotte Ritchie) and Mike (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), a young couple who encounter ghosts after moving into Button House.
The movie’s trailer shows Julian (Farnaby) escape Button House by possessing a teenage boy who breaks into the mansion with his friends.
Mathew Baynton, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Richard, Ben Willbond and Lolly Adefope also star in the “feature length family adventure.”
Ghosts: The Possession of Button House opens in U.K. and Irish theaters Oct. 23.
The show inspired an American remake starring Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar that ended after five seasons on CBS in May.
