Sept. 9 (UPI) — Barbara Crampton announced on social media Wednesday that she filmed a role on Dexter: Resurrection. She posted a photo of herself with Dexter actor and executive producer Michael C. Hall on Instagram.
“Have an appearance on an iconic NYC show,” Crampton wrote. “What a show! What a crew! What a cast! It was as amazing an experience as you might expect!”
Crampton thanked Hall, showrunners Clyde Phillips and Scott Reynolds, and executive producer Marcos Siega for having her. Crampton was a staple of ’80s horror movies Re-Animator, From Beyond and Chopping Mall.
She had a comeback with 2011’s You’re Next, which led her to keep working in horror for 15 years. In an interview with UPI for Sacrifice in 2021, Crampton called herself “the luckiest older woman working in horror today.”
Dexter: Resurrection premiered last year following the revival Dexter: New Blood. Dexter Morgan moved to New York to be near his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), where he resumed murdering other serial killers.
Paramount+ with Showtime renewed the series in October. Yesterday, they announced the season premiere of Oct. 30.
