Louis Vuitton has unveiled its bespoke Trophy Trunk for the FIFA World Cup 2026 ahead of Sunday’s final between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium.
The French luxury fashion house will present the iconic 18-carat gold FIFA World Cup trophy in a custom-made trunk for the fifth consecutive men’s World Cup, continuing a partnership that began at the 2010 tournament in South Africa.
Fifth consecutive FIFA World Cup Trophy Trunk
Louis Vuitton has designed official FIFA World Cup Trophy Trunks for every tournament since 2010, including South Africa (2010), Brazil (2014), Russia (2018), Qatar (2022) and now the United States, Canada and Mexico-hosted 2026 edition.
The latest trunk has been handcrafted by artisans at Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières-sur-Seine workshops near Paris.
What’s special about the 2026 Trophy Trunk?
The bespoke trunk is covered in Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram canvas and features two front panels decorated with a gold “V”, representing both “Vuitton” and “Victory.”
Other design elements include:
- Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas exterior
- Gold “V” panels on the front
- Light beige leather interior
- Gold-plated brass corner protectors
- Traditional Louis Vuitton lock and clasps inspired by designs dating back to the 1860s
- FIFA x Louis Vuitton partnership logo inside the lid
The trunk has been specially designed to transport and showcase the FIFA World Cup Trophy during the final’s pre-match and trophy presentation ceremonies.
When will it appear?
The Trophy Trunk will make its public debut during the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.
It will be carried onto the pitch as part of the closing ceremony, then used during the trophy presentation after either Spain or Argentina is crowned world champion.
Louis Vuitton launches three limited-edition versions
Alongside the official Trophy Trunk, Louis Vuitton has also introduced three limited-edition trunks inspired by the design.
The collection includes:
- Coffret 8 Montres – a watch trunk capable of storing eight watches
- Cotteville 16 Montres – a larger watch case with space for 16 timepieces
- Malle Courrier Lozine 110 – a luxury travel trunk
Each version features the iconic Monogram canvas, hand-painted FIFA World Cup branding and the signature gold “V.” Buyers will also have the option to personalise their trunks with custom initials.
Long-standing sporting partnership
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Trunk is the latest addition to Louis Vuitton’s growing portfolio of premium sporting collaborations.
In addition to the FIFA World Cup, the luxury brand has created trophy cases for the French Open, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, America’s Cup and the League of Legends World Championship, blending its heritage craftsmanship with some of the world’s biggest sporting events.
