Two people were killed and six others were wounded in a shooting Saturday at a festival celebrating Latino culture in Toronto, police said.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and six people suffered gunshot wounds following the gunfire in the area of St. Claire Avenue and Arlington Avenue during the Salsa on St. Clair festival, Toronto police said.
Police said at least one gunman was “still outstanding.”

The shooting was reported just before 8:15 p.m. ET, police in the Canadian city said. As of 9:20 p.m., police had secured the scene and were investigating.
Salsa on St. Clair is a two-day festival celebrating Latino culture with music, dance food and art. It started Saturday and was set to run through Sunday on Toronto’s St. Clair Avenue.
