An urgent rescue operation is underway in a Swiss ski resort after a cable car cabin crashed down a snowy mountainside during strong winds.
The crash took place in the ski resort of Engelberg in central Switzerland.
A spokesperson for air-rescue service Rega said one helicopter was involved in the operation but gave no further details.
Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten said at least one person had been injured, though it’s unclear how many people may have been on the gondola.
The local lift company BET was not immediately available for comment.
