June 27 (UPI) — Warner Bros. Animation has announced it is working on a Dark Shadows series, based on the classic supernatural soap opera, which ran for 1,200 episodes between 1966 and 1971.
“Created by Dan Curtis and celebrating its 60th anniversary this summer, Dark Shadows starred TV’s original anti-hero and the father of the modern-day vampire, Barnabas Collins, a vampire with a conscience,” the company said in a press release Friday.
No network or streaming platform has been announced yet.
The voice cast also has not been revealed.
A 2012 film inspired by the original show starred Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Michelle Pfeiffer.
