June 23 (UPI) — Will Ferrell helped honor his fellow former Saturday Night Live cast member Molly Shannon at her Hollywood Walk of Fame star dedication ceremony Monday.
Also attending the event was actress Connie Britton and Shannon’s family.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that beloved comedian and actress Molly Shannon will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her remarkable body of work and enduring impact on comedy and entertainment have earned her this well-deserved recognition,” Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, said in a press release.
“It makes this moment even more special that her star will be placed next to her dear friend and fellow Saturday Night Live alum Will Ferrell, creating a wonderful full-circle tribute to their shared legacy in comedy.”
The 61-year-old actress and comedian will soon be seen with Ferrell again in the upcoming Netflix series, The Hawk.
Her other credits include The White Lotus, Only Murders in the Building, The Other Two, I Love That for You, Divorce, Will & Grace, the Wet Hot American Summer miniseries, Serendipity, Enlightened and Year of the Dog.
