June 22 (UPI) — Organizers for the Venice International Film Festival have announced this year’s jury members.
Hong Kong director and producer Johnnie To (Exiled), Tunisian director and screenwriter Kaouther Ben Hania (Four Daughters), English composer and artist Daniel Blumberg, Italian professor Francesco Casetti, French director and screenwriter Xavier Giannoli (Lost Illusions, Les Rayons et les ombres), and Afghan director and screenwriter Shahrbanoo Badat (No Good Men) will preside over the 83th annual festival.
The six join the previously announced jury chair, American actress and filmmaker Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Hania’s film The Voice of Hind Rajab won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize at the 2025 festival.
This year’s Venice International Film Festival will run Sept. 2 to 12.
