June 19 (UPI) — An Ohio man scored a $100,001 lottery prize using a special set of numbers he has used to play lottery games for years.
North Ridgeville resident Brian C. told Ohio Lottery officials he and his cousin used to play Keno games using the numbers 11-22-28.
After his cousin died, Brian started using those numbers — plus 3 and 31 for special birthdays — to play Rolling Cash 5.
A ticket be bought for the June 10 drawing at VFW Post #9871 on Lear Nagle Road in North Ridgeville ended up winning him the $100,001 prize.
The man said he dropped his phone and started screaming when he saw that he had won, causing a coworker to joke he must have seen a mouse.
Brian said his prize money will be used to pay off bills and take a vacation to a yet-to-be-determined location.
