June 19 (UPI) — Widow’s Bay wrapped up its first season on Apple TV this week and, even though the mystery dramedy has already been renewed, viewers will likely have a lengthy wait until Season 2 comes out.
Here are eight other places you can see or hear Emmy-winning actor Matthew Rhys — Mayor Tom Loftis — right now while you wait for fresh episodes of Widow’s Bay.
‘The Beast in Me’ — Netflix
The 51-year-old Welsh actor played Nile Jarvis, a real estate tycoon suspected of killing his wife, in this limited series. He moves down the street from Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes), an author mourning the death of her son, and the pair develop an uneasy partnership as Aggie interviews Nile for a new book. Brittany Snow and Natalie Morales co-star.
‘Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai’ — HBO
Rhys voices the character of evil industrialist Riley Greene in the animated prequel to the 1984 live-action horror-comedy, Gremlins. The show is set in 1920s China and follows the adventures of the adorable, magical Mogwai critter Gizmo (AJ LoCascio) and members of the Wing family (Ming-Na Wen, B.D. Wong, James Hong and Izaac Wang) who adopt him. Greene is the villain who wants Gizmo and the critters he can produce for himself.
‘Perry Mason’ — HBO
Rhys portrays the titular private eye in the two-season crime drama, which is set in 1930s Los Angeles. The cast included Chris Chalk, Juliet Rylance, Tatiana Maslany, John Lithgow and Rhys’ Widow’s Bay co-star Stephen Root.
‘The Wine Show’ — Sundance
Viewers got to meet the real Rhys — not a scripted character — in this docuseries that saw him, James Purefoy, Dominic West and Matthew Goode traipse to beautiful locations around the world to learn about wine for four seasons.
‘Extrapolations’ — Apple TV
Created by Scott Z. Burns — a filmmaker whose credits include An Inconvenient Truth and Contagion — the eight-part drama spans the globe over the course of decades and tells intersecting stories about how the decisions and actions of scientists, politicians and religious leaders impact others as the Earth is getting hotter. Rhys plays a wealthy real-estate developer who scouts sites for new casinos in areas destroyed by melted ice caps. Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Kit Harington, Edward Norton, Diane Lane, Tahar Rahim, Yara Shahidi, Gemma Chan, David Schwimmer, Keri Russell, Marion Cotillard, Forest Whitaker, Indira Varma, Tobey Maguire, Heather Graham, Michael Gandolfini, Cherry Jones, Judd Hirsch and Neska Rose co-star.
‘Death Comes to Pemberley’ — PBS, Prime Video
This mini-series casts Rhys as the dashing Mr. Darcy to Anna Maxwell Martin’s Elizabeth in P.D. James’ murder mystery, which is based on characters from Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, Pride and Prejudice. The ensemble also includes Jenna Coleman, Matthew Goode, Eleanor Tomlinson and James Norton.
‘The Americans’ — Hulu
For six seasons of this spy thriller, Rhys and his romantic partner Keri Russell played KGB agents posing as a typical American couple in the suburbs of Virginia during the Cold War. Noah Emmerich, Dylan Baker and Margo Martindale co-starred. Rhys won his Best Actor Emmy for his performance in Season 6.
‘Brothers & Sisters’ — Hulu
Rhys played Kevin Walker for all five seasons of the California family drama, which co-starred Sally Field, Calista Flockhart, Rachel Griffiths, Rob Lowe and Balthazar Getty.

Rhys will also soon be seen in the BBC newspaper drama Dragon Slayers and Season 2 of Apple TV’s Presumed Innocent.
