April 17 (UPI) — A Michigan man visited lottery headquarters to collect a $1 million prize just over a year after collecting a $366,984 windfall.
The Michigan Lottery said the 47-year-old Muskegon County man scored the $1 million top prize in the March 26 Millionaire Raffle drawing.
“I really liked the odds of the Millionaire Raffle game, so I bought several tickets,” the player told lottery officials.
He said it wasn’t his first brush with big lottery luck.
“I won a $366,984 Fantasy 5 jackpot prize just over a year ago, so when I logged into my lottery account and saw a notification that I’d won the $1 million Millionaire Raffle prize, I was in total disbelief that I’d won big again,” the man said.
“I honestly thought it was some sort of technical error where an incorrect prize notification was sent, so I decided to check back in the morning,” he said. “I logged in the next day, and to my surprise, the $1 million prize was still pending in my account. I’m still trying to process that I’m here again claiming another huge prize!”
The man said he is planning to invest his winnings.
